I am fascinated by the fact that it is a Rosa seen from below … A completely original perspective.
And for the proximity of the discovery of this Empress Drachma … Here in my beautiful Empordà in the city of Roses.
Made of cut iron cut completely to hand and then worked with a blow to give shape.
I have sought a lot to find the stone on which to present the Drachma, and finally I have selected this old, unpolished Travertine marble that reminds me of Corall, Rhode, Empúries, Sea, and the Mediterranean.
Some information on the Drachma de Roses:
The adoption of the front rose has been described as a symptom of originality in our western city, by inventing a type of its own.
The archaeological finds have been in the citadel of Roses (old town of Rhode) and in the Empúries ruins (Emporium) although over the years, more drachmas were discovered on the Mediterranean coast, and in different parts of the country.
